Anyone have any comments about this gun.

    http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=336

$85 dollars plus about $66 to ship to Ireland. Is it worth it?? Been looking aorund the last few days for an AEG. Prefer the longer M16 to the shorter M15/M4, Although was looking at CA M15 Sportsline, good price too.

Seen a few videos on You Tube and the JG looks the biz, but I'm new to this and know nothing. Also anyone know if the JG can use the TM upgrade parts?

    Thanks

the CA sportsline is great, abs but really solid, and 327 fps out of the box

    well worth the money

theres a VN edition M16 for sale in MIA., im not sure about the one you linked to but JG are probably the best clone company there is.,

Yeah the Ca Sportsline looks nice but a bit short for me.

As for the Vietnam in MIA its a bit expensive, €300 as apposed to about €110 plus about import tax, maybe €30. Still a cheap gun.

its a high end though., the one you looking at is a clone., if you want a clone then ya cant go wrong with JG.,

OK, explain this to me like I'm a 2 year old please. Like I said I'm new. Are they not basicallly the same, are clones not as upgradeable.

Sorry for showing my ignorance, but if ya dont ask you wont know.

clones are copies of the original high quality manufacturers like classic army and Tokyo marui, clones are cheaper knock-offs but the high end one's are the biz

hmmmm, now I dont know what to do. I'll have a think about it. It probably wont be used in anger and as its my first AEG I might give it a try.

    I'l sleep on it.

They have a TM M16A2 for about €200 delivered, but that'll be about 50-60 extra import duty.

says 400fps-most likely exageratted(spelling) but you need to be careful, dont want to buy it and then have customs check it and confiscate/keep it due to being over the limit

Has that ever hapened?? Where they check the power??

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Masada

if it does say its hot you will have to make sure to ask them about downgrading it before shipping., its not just being politically correct but your package could be tested and it will mean it gets destroyed with no refund to you.,

it certainly has., theres a few people on here that had their stuff stopped.,

    ouch,

OK so if I was to get an M4 or M15 could I change change the barrels to that of a M16?? I really like the longer gun.

I was asking Shiva to get one of these in for me before Christmas but upon investigation it was over the limit. In the end I went with a CA M15A1 VN and I have to say I haven't looked back. It is the longest AEG I have and is extremely accurate. If you can afford it I would say go that route.

don't worry if you order stuff from Gunner before you pay for the item they give you the option to downgrade the guns to 328fps so no problem their mate,
theres a VN edition M16 for sale in MIA
The problem with the VN edition is the same problem they suffered from in nam, the front of the gun is smooth and with a little moisture it becomes very slippy. You either need to groove the grip or wear grip gloves, my 2 cents.

I have the M15 A4 Tactical and its very akin to the M16, slighter shorter barrel but not really noticable and the thing is a beast, I've seen its cousin the sportsline version and tbh beyond the ABS vs metal theres not to much of a differance, only the price ;)

instead of changing the whole barrel you can just change the top add another section to it., a lot of the M series AEGs has removable barrel piece at the top with a 14mm thread on it., all you need is to get a spare one and add it to your existing barrel., it'll give you an extra 6-8 inches., ;)

    Re: gandalf
It'll be my first AEG and I wont be using in any games so I dont want to spend too much just in case I'm not that keen on AEG's. Although looking at some videos on You Tube they are pure sexy.

    RE: Necron99.
So Gunner would downgrade it? Might send them a e-mail and see what he says. Been looking a lot at the CA M15 A4 Sportsline for €170, incase I decide against the JG, good price and some good reviews.

    RE: vtec
When you say Top of the barrel do you mean the outer or the very tip of the barrel?? But would I not have to change the inner barrel aswell?

I have no idea what I'm talking about by the way, when I eventually do get one I'll be able to mess around with it and see what goes where and how it all works, but until then, I'm fairly ignorant.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Masada

yeah you can change the inner barrel too., i wasnt sure if you wanted a longer barrel for looks for function but its not difficult to do anyway.,

Oh right, cool. Yeah well it would be probably be for look and feel aswell but if I was changing the outer I think I'd change the inner aswell. Might aswell make it do what is says on the tin.

OK I did, went and bit the bullet, I got a PM from IAS saying they saw I was looking at a JG M16A4, they had 2 of em just in, so I went and bought one, €140 +18 P&P. What with the weekend thats in it wont have it till middle of next week I suppose.

So I'll be waiting wondering if i made a mistake, but for €140 it well worth a punt. Hey I might end up not liking AEG's at all. So will keep ya'll informed.

    Thanks for all you help.
