Trying to get a VRT calculation on a 1987 Mercedes 560SEC coupe.

Can't find it on the drop down menus.

Would I be right in thinking these fall under the model type CL?

And can anyone find the right model on the VRT calculator?

I was toying with loads of much older cars, including older 70's SL's and other such yokes, Given that tidy 80's cars are going for silly money across the pond I can nearly put up with the huge road tax that a 5.6 V8 entails.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Very nice choice! One of my all time favourite cars.

Yep tax is bad, but there's a lot to say for a car not quite as old as one that would qualify for classic tax. What made you change your mind as you were quite specific in going for a 30+ year old one?

Oh, and do you want me to move this to the classic cars forum?

A lot of older Mercs seem to have rust issues, and those that don't are overpriced.
Nothing concrete yet, but I reckon it'll be an 80's rather than a 70's car I end up with...

Be very careful, all SECs rusted badly right up to the last of the line registered in 1992 (and other models continued to rust well after that!). Put your head in the boot and look up at the panel below the rear screen.
