yea, get your cameras ready for 13th August 2008, thats when fire will come from the sky, nothing like the rock of cashel, this is the real deal, fireballs from space, after cassini blows up saturn there will be a photo oppertunity like no other. but dont expect too many to look with joy at your photographs because they might be already dead.

Anyone who gets their cameras out for that are likely to be disappointed but at least they'll live to tell the tale.

Hahahahahaha.....that's brilliant! Even the 'technicy' diagrams to go with it! LMAO!

Anyway, I'm blaming the reverse vampires for this one. Possibly in collaboration with the RAND Corporation.

No no, it's the evil lord Xenu...

Funny thing is that we can laugh all we want - if we're right we get the last laugh, if they're right then...well we won't be around to be laughed at :D

I've spoken with members of the Cassini imaging team more than once and I'm sure that they would be pretty miffed at the suggestion of dropping the space probe into the gas giant at this stage. After all there is science to do and cake to be had.

Even if and when they do drop Cassini into Saturn or Titan's atmosphere it will on a level as you walking into Dublin city center and breaking wind really loudly.
