Im graduating this year with a BEng in Civil and am trying to get earn a bit on the side to fund my masters by preparing planning permissions for some small scale developments over the summer. I was jsut wondering what price range people are being charged by their technicians/ architects/ engineers for their applications?

€700 for a (mortgage)certificate, engineer occasionally visited site, sometimes he even got out of the car.
pacman.gif He did enough to satisfy hinself that I wasn't doing anything that would worry hin (& his indemnity insurance).

Full set of plans and planning form completed, I know mates have charged €1,200 in the past but its a lot hassle depending on the client i.e. number of changes etc.

I'd say €1,500 for plans and that includes 2 major revisions any more changes are charged per hour, AutoCad can calculate the amount of time you spend on a drawing.

You mean it can calculate the time the drawing is open for editing. If you're reading boards.ie at the same time then you are only passing on extras to clients.
I generally don't do flat fees, as I never know the exact work, normally I give an hourly rate and an estimated price

€2500 is what I'm being charged by an engineer, he has come twice so far. Once to check foundations, the other time I haven't a clue. Attic is getting done also so i'll probably see him again.....
