Yes that's true, dire game but that was expected from the sending off in the first half.

No 3 is the stand out of the 4 shots. Great capture!

Great shots - I prefer the 3rd pic, some great facial expressions captured.

    Good stuff there, Ken.
I'm leaving the GAA until the summer.

Although number 3 has the great expression I prefer number 4 in terms of composition, line etc

What lens did you use? Those are some lovely sharp shots!

    300mm f/2.8 a.k.a my big one ;)

While number 4 is a better shot, I love the DOF in 1 - really adds an element that isnt there in the others. Amazing what nice DOF a good fast lens gives you.

*edit* - well the DOF is in the others, the way its on the opposing player is really nice.

If you look at the first one, you can actually read his signature on his hurl, very cool.

Great shots, all are excellent but number 3 would be my pick of the lot

Some great shots there but you have some much nicer ones on your flickr, these two being my favourites. You've caught the action really well in them and the look on his face in the first one is classic.

Thanks Inibaz, they were the first few pics I looked at when I got home and uploaded them here. I agree that there's a few better shots on my flickr and overall I enjoyed the day, so much so that the newspaper I supply Eircom League photos to, want my GAA shots and regret asking outside sources for the match photos.

great shots, pity about those kilkenny f*ckers but what can you do, you've started now so hopefully you'll continue through the spring and summer...as the universe would have it Waterford will definitely win the all ireland this year (because ill miss it)...ill be delighted and heart broken but more delighted especially if theres a few pics to see...

Great shots! I know zilch about sports photography, but 3 and 4 has a lot to see in them! I think 4 is actually quite funny, all tangled up like that! :D

Great shots!! Dam you, I want a 300mm

Kilkenny are class acts. Was sick yesterday myself with Wexford getting a last minute goal against us. Travelled out to Parnell on Saturday evening only for the game to be washed out.

Refixed for next Sunday at 2.30pm if anyone is interested in going?
