    Part Blue Velvet, part too much minimalist art and music:

    I know the first one needs a little cropping on the right side as it looks a bit off balance but I'm happy with the results overall. Thoughts?

    I like the idea, I think I perfer no 2 the most as its the one that looks least like you were just playing with the gradient tool in photoshop! :p

    Also perhaps if the dof in 2 included the rope...

    I also like two the best, the others (esp the first) almost look computer generated, (repetitive high contrast simple image). I'd keep the same depth DoF on the second, just focus closer to include the cord and fall off sooner

    Nice shots, could've got rid of the dust from the blinds before you shot ;)

    I don't have photoshop/gimp/etc. Everything is as I shot it. Fair point on the rope, I have other shots that focus on it but I think I prefer keeping it out of focus. I must stick up the others and see how you guys think they compare.

    3 & 4 are my favourites
    Shame about the first bit of string in no.2

    All very good though :D

    Quite a lot of PP done on them, but I have to admit that I like them. :)

    PP = post processing
    I don't see any PP tho...

    Love the idea, nice and simple and being a DoF junkie 2 would be my fave. Would have cropped out the left hand side a bit so people wouldn't see the end of the blind.

    Don't mind him about the dust it adds to the capture.

    Oh right. No, there's been nothing done to them. Haven't even gotten around to cropping them. They were straight off the camera.
