An official looking but non permanent (i.e on timber stakes on plastic sheeting type material backed with OSB) road sign as above has appeared at the road entrance to the cul de sac I'll be building soon on. I noticed another on another lane entrance off the same road also. Both signs are on the same side of the road. No similar signs are on the lanes on the opposite.

Anyone know what PJV stands for or is it relevant to construction traffic to my house? Is it likely to have been erected by the council?

I'm not prepared to barrow readymix and blocks 400metres to the site from the main road:)

Could it be that the cul de sac is a private (unadopted) road and PJV is the name of the company (owners) who maintain it, if that's the case why didn't they contact you directly?

edit: a quick google throws up nothing..

PJV is most likely Portlaoise Joint Venture. In fact i'd be almost certain, i've no idea if sas is in portlaoise or not.

I am in Portlaoise. Good stuff, so I'm taking it the signs are specifically related to traffic on that project.

I figured there was a reasonable explanation but you never know..

Enjoy the rest of the long weekend guys and thanks for the help.
