hey guys, i want to get a few bits of rsolv and their post office surface choice for shipping is less than half of the next nearest shipping method (30 yo-yos compared to 80). it says it'll take 6 - 8 weeks though. is it REALLY that long? that seems ridiculous for postage time.

anyone with any experience of how long it takes to get stuff from them?

    thanks

How long do you think it takes for a ship to get from Hong Kong to Ireland ? :)

It could actually take a bit longer...there wouldn't be a daily, or possibly even a weekly service, so you might have to wait awhile before the package even makes it onto a ship.

You have to remember though, that a freighter would make lots of stops on the way, otherwise it wouldn't be cost-effective to operate the route. Not to mention your package might only travel by ship to somewhere in continental Europe, and make the rest of the trip by train, road and then boat again. Its really only a viable solution for large, bulky objects, and even at that air freight is relatively economical these days.
