I just wanted to make a post to proclaim my highest respect i hve for the crews of ambulances.

They have to meet people whn they are at their worst ever point in life, they need to act fast and many times in a life and death situation.

Im certain they have seen most of the most gruesome sights that would sicken many, yet need to kep a level head and do their job. Ive seen them in acion many times and i have to say its the one job that i can say that no matter what amount of money they are being paid they dont get paid enough.

.. again Kudos, they never seem to get the thanks they deserve :)

Thank you for the kind words. It's rare that we get thanks from the public but then again we didn't join the svce to get thanks the whole time. Thank you again.

The same can be said, at a lower level , to the many voluntary members of SJAB, OMAC, IRC & CD who give their time FOC so that they can help others if & when their training is needed.

All you have to do is look at the many events being held around the country this weekend and notice how many voluntary organisations are out ready to be called upon if needed.

Well, it has to be said.

As i said, what ever they get paid, youcan double it and they woulet paid high enough in my opinion.

Ive done a 3 day first aid course and it was given to us by an ex paramedic.. some of the stories he was elling us, really left me shocked, im not squemish to be honest, but thats not the essential part of my respect, its the entire situation these guys deal with, the injury, the patient and the situation the patient is in.

Cheers, I'm a member of SJAB and I know there are some people who give up so much of their time just training other members and training Cadets (ages 11-17) forget about Public duties etc...
