How to insert paragraph!

:DI have Microsoft Works Word processor, and a few weeks back I had the pc cleaned and everything reinstalled or so I thought! When I try to put in quotation marks I get the “ symbol, and vice versa. How do I fix this? More importantly, I have a block of 4,000 words of text which I want to paragraph, forgive my ignorance…

Check - CONTROL PANEL - KEYBOARD - INPUT LOCALS.

Change to UK.

Oh, I just use the enter key to insert a paragraph.
