I have recently been looking into various Eddie Van Halen guitars. I am quite interested in either the Peavey Wolfgang or else the Ernie Ball signature guitar. I was wondering if anyone had any views or pointers as to which might be the best guitar to get.

    Cheers.

I had a Wolfgang at one stage. Only criticism i'd have of it was the body - it wasn't contoured at all, no belly carve and no forearm carve. Im pretty sure the EB EVHs are the same.

It might not sound like such an issue, but they're fairly thick guitar....Compared to my usual Ibanez RGs, there was no comparison comfort wise. And it might seem strange for an EVH guitar, but upper fret access wasn't great either, just average.

Cool guitars though, and some of the high-end ones have gorgeous maple caps. Excellent necks on ALL the EB/MM guitars, and the Peavey Wolfgangs were very high quality too. EB still do the Axis, so you don't need to get a EVH sig to get the same basic guitar.
