Boosting combining UHF and sat signal?

    Hi all,

I need some help/advice on the configuration for boosting and distributing two UHF aerials and then how this will affect the combination of this signal and the signal from a sky dish through one coax.

Currently I get TV3 on UHF from Mullaghanish using a Horizontal polarised UHF- Group A and RTE1, RTE2 and TG4 from Knockmoyle using a Group C/D vertical UHF.

Following a Masthead combiner I feed the signal into a Satellite and UHF Combiner and split at the other end in the living room.
I want to boost the UHF signal (mainly group A TV3) and distribute both UHF signals to 1 bedroom and the kitchen at a minimum.

Should I boost both signals after the combiner? Or boost the Group A only before the combiner?

    Many thanks for any info

    Owen

I presume by the signal from the sky box you mean the digibox video channel which is ch68 iirc?

Why not just buy a video sender from argos to do that? You can use it to send analogue tv around the house via a video or a dvd recorder aswell.
That will save all the messing with wires and you should have a perfect picture with stereo sound.

Apologies for not making it clear, its the signal from the sky mini dish to the livingroom i have combined with the masthead combined UHF terrestrial signals. I need to just boost the UHF for individual delivery to rooms. Then i will continue to combine one of the proposed boosted uhf signals with the UHF/sat signal combiner and then splitter at the living room sky box. Hope it makes things clearer and not more confused!
I just want to know the best way to combine the two UHF signals and boost one or both.
P.S. only one coax to livingroom and not possible to feed two.

    Thanks
