ID to get into night clubs

Right so at the moment I'm waiting to get my passport renewed as my old one's expired, and aswell as that I haven't got an agecard so I pretty much have none of those as valid enough ID, so I was wondering would a birth cert work by any chance? Would be a bit of a long shot I reckon

Given that this is the beer guts and receding hair forum it's a fair bet that it's been quite some time since most of the regulars have had to produce ID to get in anywhere.

Without a photo on your birth cert I doubt you'd have much luck, but you might be better throwing this one over to After Hours

Tesco clubcard should do it. Failing that any old playing card would do, I think the Jack of clubs is more widely accepted though.

birth cert would never work. it would have to be an official id with your pic on it!!

drivers licence

anything else they will probably just turn you away for. you could try any card with a picture on it, as long as it is issued by a reputable organisation. i've never looked young but a college id never worked for me.

if i was you i would just go to the gardai and get the age card!!!

I was considering using both birth cert and college ID since they kinda have a bit of both of what's actually required

you could try it defo, but if u get an asshole of a bouncer or barman, they might just laugh at you!

There'd be no point in using a photocopy, them bouncers only accept originals

Just concentrate really really hard on growing a beard before the end of the week, or buy a fake beard, or go out with a bunch of people who all have ID and will willingly not go into the nightclub if you dont get access with your birth cert and bus pass.

Although, real question is: Why would you want to go to a nightclub at all? Terrible places. No Zeppelin on the jukebox.
