This link seems to cover everything that you need to do for having a wedding in Ireland (in legal terms anyway) if you are coming from abroad.

    hi kanzler,

you need to have proof of address (with an address in ireland) if you want to get married here, so I think it might be quite hard to try to organise a wedding as a "tourist".

If you need any help with English or other info, I'm from Zollstock and happy to help a follow "Jeck".

That page is pretty old, the price for the ceremony is in Irish pounds and very low!! And the bit about two registrars for different religions is something I've never heard before!
Have a root around http://www.citizensinformation.ie/categories/birth-family-relationships/getting-married for more info
But I do think the residency restrictions still apply though...

My friends, one French and one American got married last year in Ireland. There is a lot to do with regards to paper work, but it can be done.

One can get round residency restrictions by staying here or by getting a friend to say you are living with them......
