    Hi,

Just wondering are any of you guys running in the 5K run around Dublin city centre on Sunday (www.msb5k.com)? Maybe we could get a league table of results.

Anybody have any idea what would be involved in creating a Boards.ie running club? Anybody have any interest in it?

    Cheers,
    Gumby.

I should be there, not sure about a table of results though, I'll be somewhere near the back ;) Although it might encourage me to run faster next time...

    Three options -
1 - Register your club with AAI - allow you to compete in official races - road, track, country. AAI are the official organisation recognised internationally.
2 - Register with BHAA - business houses athletic assoc - mainly road races, basically like an inter-firms association.
3 - Don't register with any association and just run/train/race as a boards.ie group unofficially.

Each one requires someone to organise which is really the biggest part.

From Met Eireann : "Sunday will be cold and breezy with sunny spells and showers, some wintry."

    Am feeling cold already.

Haha! Maybe four of us could share an umbrella. We could take turns holding it. Just like a relay race. It'll be a hoot.

Nice run today, not a huge crowd and a little cold but the course was nice :)

I've posted my time in my log already so I guess I'll put it here too...

I finished in about 23:50 which I'm very happy with :) First time out and lots of scope for improvement :)

It was a nice run today indeed.

Do you know if they will put results up on the site (www.msb5k.com)? They took down our numbers at the finish so just wondering if that means we'll be able to see results online.

Yes, it was a nice race. Dry and not nearly as cold as I thought it would be. I saw a lot of small kids running with parents which I thought was great.

Well done to the organisers. I thought it was very well organised. The split times at each Kilometer was a nice touch.

    Results are up on www.msb5k.com/home/index.html
Little bit off the watch but close enough considering there were no race chips.

Great race indeed! Well done all who took part. My first race too. Shaved 1.5 mins off previous record on the treadmill. Down to about 22:40. Really really enjoyed it and was buzzing all day. There's a cross coutnry race in malahide rugby club on 26th March. 7:30 and it is floodlit. Think I might do this next for the larf. Then I'll relax and take it easy and I'll be well rested for the Marathon.................. :D
