I'd rather p!ss it up against the wall than give it to the book marker tbh and thats just my opinion. There was a tip on Colm & Jimmy this morning but I've forgotten it. Sorry. Try the Gambling forum

I grew up in Cheltenham and passed the course every day. I lived there for 20 years and never went as a paying punter! I worked there for 14 years as one of the guys with the black jackets. I became a supervisor and spent most of my time in the member's bar, while the lackys were freezing thier nads off outside!

I used to see the bookies arrive in flash cars and even helicopters! So I never bet on the gee-gees, also seeing as I got to know a lot of the jockeys and owners I got to thinking they don't race for us do they?

Goos luck to anyone though, and if you are actually there, say hello to the pubs, sure I will have drunk in it at some time or other! :p

Go to the horse racing forum.

I hate horse racing and Cheltenham week is like a living hell to me.

Did I mention that I really fookin hate it?:mad:

"The bookie is in the business to make his living. You can't too" Bit of a laugh to be there I'd say, but investing money in a decent share portfolio is better imo. Fair enough it's less risk so less potential gain, but at the same time, less potential loss!

Jaysus, listening to Peader Flanagan droning on over the next week brings a rash out on me ballsack.

But cheltenham is all about drinking guinness and going to one of the many temporary lapdancing clubs.

It has very little to do with horse racing:D

If there were nothing but beer related anecdotes and pics of performers from said lapdancing clubs that'd be sweet and most welcome. Unfortunately this is mostly about gambling, and there are specific forums for such, imo, idiotic wastes of hard earned!

But what are we going to spend our winnings on ? Beer and Lapdancing

LUX I hope you backed that first horse each way

If Mrs Mairt is declared to be a non-runner it'll be a one-horse race. ;)

The going will be soft to hard to soft Mairt?

Well the going will be firm, I expect to win by a head but I may have to use plenty of whip!.

Of course it could be a photo finish, I'll post the money shot.

Will you be going "Each Way" on this ride?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,575 ✭✭✭✭FlutterinBantam

Seems like the back straight is spongy and mucky so race will probably on the front course.

There's a right mess just after the winning post.
