    Hi All,

Casual gambler here, just wondering on betfair.com, does "to be placed" in terms of horse racing mean if the horse comes in 1st,2nd or 3rd or does it just mean 2nd or 3rd and NOT 1st?

    Thanks

it includes 1st, and depending on no of runners (check rules for each race) can cover 2nd 3rd and sometimes 4th

    First is included mate.

Click on Rules above the betting slip in a place market to see how many horses are included in the place betting. ie. '3 to be placed' = first 3 home.
