    Hello all,

I have been out of work now for a while & i seen a job for Warehouse operatives no experiance needed. its says for picking & packing orders.

Is there anyone out there that has worked in this line & could help me out with what exactly i would be required to do?

Like will i just be given a list & told to go find them items & pack them for dispatch? Or is there more to it than that?

    Thanks.

I once visited the Aldi warehouse in Naas and saw the picking teams at work. Looked like hard work tbh. The guys would travel up and down huge aisles of goods on electric pallet trucks...picking as they need to.

I saw "Pick rate target" displayed there aswell...so the guys must have targets they need to reach. Its interesting to people like me who have some involvement in logistics.

You won't know exactly what the job details are unless you apply and go for an interview. Won't cost you anything and doesn't mean you have to accept the job if its offered to you.

As mentioned above it's mainly building of pallets of stock. Theres deadlines to be met as truck drivers etc are usually on a tight schedule. It can be physically hard work too depending on what kind of merchandise the warehouse carries.
