EPT Step 6, play?

I have an ept step 6 ticket on stars. Its worth $2100 but I cannot trade it for anything, W$ or T$.
I e-mailed stars to ask what the situation was and they basically told me I had to play it:
Please note that tickets won in EPT Step Sit & Go tournaments are good only for use within the EPT Steps system and are not transferrable in any way. In addition to this, the first seat you win into a land-based events must be played by the person whose real name is on the PokerStars account. This seat is non-transferrable and cannot be sold to another player. It is in the nature of 'Sit & Go' tournaments that there may sometimes be a delay before there are enough entrants for it to begin. I do apologize for any inconvenience caused because of this but we will not be able to convert your ticket as a result of this. If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

I'm very reluctant to give step 6 a go as its a 10-seater and only 1st place gets paid with 2nd getting $750, also you're up against the likes of stevie444, dario minieri etc. :eek:

If I wait until the ept steps are over what will happen to this ticket, anyone got any suggestins?

I'd just much prefer to play the wsop step 6, the payout for WSOP step 6 pays top 6! and only 9 players.
I never knew i had to solely play ept steps.

Well, by all means send a nicely worded email to Stars support and ask them to switch you over. If you don't ask you can't get.

Important notes:

1. EPT Steps tickets are valid only for entry into EPT Steps tournaments.
2. EPT Steps tickets are not transferrable to other players.
3. EPT Steps tickets are not redeemable for cash or any other value.
4. Chops are not permitted in EPT Steps tournaments.

That's from the site but a lot of the above comes up as a warning when you register for a Steps event.

If you wait until next year you will be in the exact same spot as right now, except with time elapsing and exchange rates changing, it's likely the value of your Step 6 Ticket will not be the same as it is now.

Play and win. Think positive too, you'll just lose if you go in playing reluctantly. gl.

These are the kinda guys you could be sat next to at the EPT anyway.......

How'd you get on in this Shivverz? I reached step 6 twice but didn't win any of the packages:(

Blinds are 150/300 , busto_soon has the button and pushes allin for 5k for the 4th time in a row, I wake up in SB with QQ and call for 4.5k , BB (8k) instapushes. KJos vs QQ vs AK respectively. A345K. me busto

Unlucky. At least you played the hand correctly and just got outdrawn.

I'd say the standard mightn't have been as high as you expected. There's normally some good players in the final step but just as many donks as well

Yes except for the fact that he called with QQ instead of pushing.

Eh? Im saying push from the SB with QQ after the 4.5k bet. You are isolating the allin with QQ and not inviting others into the pot.

yes i was wrong, i wasnt trying to cut him down though.

he got unlucky, i thought he had a bigger stack and had flat called which IMO would be wrong but because i read it wrong in the first place i am wrong. :rolleyes:

I no this is a bit late but Stars made the decision to let any outstanding EPT steps tickets be used in LAPT (and something else) steps.This is a nice gesture from Stars if you ask me.
