Sega have updated their www.dreamcast.com site with the question "Do you still own a dreamcast?". Clicking on it brings you a place where you can register your dc serial number and get a [serial]@gmail.com email address. This is obviously pretty useless really ("oh yes, my email address is 90234859038339734393A@gmail.com")…

Sega have updated their www.dreamcast.com site with the question "Do you still own a dreamcast?". Clicking on it brings you a place where you can register your dc serial number and get a [serial]@gmail.com email address. This is obviously pretty useless really ("oh yes, my email address is 90234859038339734393A@gmail.com") but hopefully it's to prepare you for some massive announcement in a couple of days about Dreamcast 2.5 with Holographics and a Thought-Sensitive controller. Or something.

and apparantly a scam..

Only a couple of months ago Sega re-registered the Dreamcast logo.

KoHd, if I was Sega, I would re-register the logo too. Infact they've probably done this with all their other systems. Due to the huge cult following the Dreamcast has got it, especially with the homebrew development community and the ease which with which the console can be hacked, it would be prudent to make sure it doesn't become abandonware.
