For anyone interested in going HD here's a good offer in Maplin's this Month
I got one last week and it's excellent, while there is little on offer in FTA HD channels at the moment, the normal channels appear better quality which I presume is due to the HDMI connection.

BBC are running a trial HD channel and the quality is superb.

    HD Satellite Free-To-Air Kit
    Manufacturer: Fortec Star

    • Full kit for receiving digital free-to-air satellite TV in standard and high definition
    • No contract or monthly subscriptions required
    • Receive over 250 free-to-air digital channels and HD broadcasts
    • Set-top box is preloaded with channels to simplify installation process
    • Powerscan and Powersearch feature to simplify new channels search
    • Full satellite kit and set-up instructions that include:
    - 65cm dish and LNB
    - Fortec Passion HD receiver with 10,000 channel memory
    - Stand, fixing bolts, 10m of coax cable and 2 screw-on F-connectors
    - DIY installtion guide

Take advantage of today''s TV technology by installing a High Defintion satellite receiver and satellite dish in your home. Pick up hundreds of free digital TV channels from the UK and across Europe. The Fortec Passion receiver has won the ''What Satellite'' and ''Digital TV Gold'' Award.

It features 2 CI slots to make it compatible with pay-satellite TV and is compatible with USALS and DisEqC for positioning systems.

WOW a HD system for Laptop users - it's not the same.

Steve do you have a problem with Maplin?

This is a good deal, while it lasts

The HD Satellite Receiver is made by Fortec Star and gets very good reviews. Normally the kit sells for Stg£259 in the UK, about €340.

The offer ends on 18th March if anyone is interested
