Angry spirits?

Ok I'm not the type of person to normally post a thread like this but here I go.

I'm originally from Dublin and Now living in Kilcullen, Kildare. I've been living here for around 5 years now. Since we've moved into our new house a few 'strange' things have happened in our house that we just couldn't explain, we live in an estate that was previously bogland/forest.

Lesser worrying incidents include hearing voices call our names when no-one else is in the house, hearing footsteps of people running up to the top of the house (when we're in the landing/hall or in the house on our own) and bright flashes around the house (Nerin has been in my house and experienced the flashes)

Now the more 'freakey' incidents seem to happen just to me in our house. I am the eldest son and nearly 2 years ago strange things started to happen in my room, Every night as I'm just about to fall asleep my room ALWAYS gets cold and i feel like someone is watching me. A Year or so ago I was woken from my sleep because I felt something at the foot of my bed, I looked up and at the end of my bed there was an impression of someone sitting on my covers. I got up and turned on the light and as I did the impression dissapeared as if someone had stood up. I was somewhat confused but Ignored this and went back to sleep. A couple of months later I was woken up again except this time I woke up as I was being attacked or at least that's what i felt like, after I threw the covers off me I saw the shape of a man standing at the end of my bed, I thought i was being burgled so Naturally I gave chase and as i got out of my bed the figure ran out of my room and slammed the door behind him, when i got to the door my keys were in the door on my side and it was LOCKED! My father heard the door slam and ran upstairs to my room just as i unlocked my door and he was asking why i slammed the door, I told him why but he was more concerned about the bruises that were on my back... they were fist shaped bruises.... Just before christmas I was woken in my sleep because i felt someone punch me below my right shoulder blade... and occasionally when i'm going to sleep i see the figure of a man in the left corner of my room....

Is there anyone else who has had any experience like this? I never used to be 'afraid' of the paranormal but now as i seemed to be a 'target' for something I would like some feedback as to how to handle this.

If you are around the 'age of puberty' this might go some way to explain some of the 'events'. A particular energy is somehow released by young males which can have volatile effects. I'm not sure if it has been made public, but the 'Greaves Case' in Glasgow some 25 years ago had terrifying implications for the family, police and psychic researchers.

The phenomena ceased when the young lad grew a little older.

There may be no quick fix, soj, but try to think of 'higher' matters as often as you remember to.

BTW, what type of person would normally post on a thread like this?

I guess the first thing to say is don't be afraid, this sort of thing has been reported before and people always come out of it on the right side, they seem to fade away with time.

There are some people who could help/provide you with more information on this, if you want to PM me I'll send you in the right direction.

It sounds like your going through a pretty rough time son.of.jimi. I have never had anything phycially attack me so I cannot comment on how that must feel. If stoner can put you in contact with people who can help with this situation I would use it, to at least get a clear picture of what is happening.

I know it is easier said than done with stuff like this but a calm mind would greatly help in a situation of this sort. Try and stay focused and maintain as much control as you can. Try take note of patterns in the behaviour and your own emotional state before and after these eposides and see if a re-occuring one appears to help you gain a better insight. If prayer or sending healing into your room before sleeping calms you down or helps do that also or what ever feels comfortable for you.

Let us know how you get on and I hope everything sorts out for you very soon. As stoner said people have come on here with similar experience and have come out the other side ok and sometimes with a better understanding.

Try and stay positive and reasure yourself you can deal with this and you will win.

Orbs are two easily discount imo. Have you tried to set up a digital and video recorder while you sleep?

I dont know if you are religious you could get a priest in and get your room blessed and see if that helps

im in his house now,and i doubt he'd want a preiest...

No he knows me, He's from kilcullen too. Priest would be unwelcome in my house no matter what they were coming for

I've heard a few stories from around Kilcullen (I have family there) its just unfortunate that there arent many investigateable (new word?) locations there.

the old graveyard and the forest beside it perhaps?(but only in dry weather,as it becomes a freakin swamp/when there arent cattle in it)

OK here's the update, i tried leaving my camera recording all night but just keep running out of battery, nothing moving around in my room or anything like that, but however this morning when i woke up all everything in my room was reset ie anything electrical

now i first thought that the power had gone during the night but i checked both my mobiles, my laptop, ipod, my watch... they had also been reset to the exact same time. none of them were plugged in during the night and yet they showed the same time as my alarm clock....

I'm not sure what time they all went at tho as when i woke up everything was at 16:56 and the date was 01/01/2001, when i went downstairs the actual time was 13:35....

I find it very strange for everything to do that even when not connected to mains power

(I'm on a weeks holidays from work and thats why i woke up so late before you all start asking !)

A weeks holidays lucky you.... Maybe some of the more techincal minds can or could give ideas of how this could happen?

With the time and date does it bear any significance (cant spell today or anyother ) to you like and event that had happened or something like that?

Used a Ouija board and got the name Steven... tapping noises coming from my window. no attacks but just about getting used to the strangeness
