Replacing the hard drive.

    I'm thinking of upgrading my PS3's hard drive. Swapping it out looks easy enough, but I'm not too sure of which hard drive to buy!
    I would be looking at getting a 200gb-250gb. Any recommendations on which manufacturer/model and where to buy etc?

    has to be a 2.5in sata drive afaik, i havent seen many 250gb 2.5in drives around

    biggest ive seen for anywhere near a reasonable price is 160gb

    looks good, you just wanna make sure that the ps3 hd is only 5400rpm as well, coz if its 7200 you wanna be looking for 7200rpm in your new drive too

    There was a 500gb 2.5 inch unveiled this week that'll fit the PS3 nicely. Think it was on engadget.

    If you're willing to wait ebay could give you a cheaper hard drive for probably €20-30 less.

    It can read the content from an external hard drive but the PS3 OS needs to be on an internal drive.
