portrait flashes and gig photos

    ok so i should have my nifty fifty tomorrow assuming an post has not ****ed it up between dublin and limerick(risky i know but i cudnt wait 2 weeks to get it) but i was at a fashion show last week and the press photographer covering it was getting some really nice portraits of the models during the vip reception and doing all sorts of trickery with how he positioned his on camera flash so im now in the market for a decent on camera flash for my 30d. i have MAYBE 100euro to spend so second hand might be the only option. any recomendations?

    secondly assuming my nifty fifty does arrive tomorrow i will have all access passes to around 5 gigs this week to kick of my music shooting career and am looking for as much advice in that regard as possible

    edit; i saw a video on youtube of a pro using a ring flash for his portraits any thoughts on this?
