A link or picture to what you're talking about (I have no idea other than it's a vest) may help us answer your question.

I have one of those in black, got it a good while ago. It's my longest serving vest and it's still just as good as the day I bought it. The pouches are a little on the bulky side because they're triple mag pouches but it's a damn fine vest for the money.
I don't use it as much anymore because my current primary rifle uses mags that are too small for the pouches, but if you're using standard STANAG or MP5 mags, they fit perfectly. All of the top pouches have gaiters to prevent anything falling out, and you have a zip pocket between the front panel and the back webbing on either side of the chest which is handy for carrying incidentals or even as a dump pouch. There's even a holster built into left side pocket (though it only takes slimline pistols such as an M1911 or M9).

    Pro's:
Bags of room for anything you can think of
    Versatile
    Well ventialted

    Con's:
A bit on the bulky side at times since the pouches don't flatten
Maybe too much space, temptation to carry more than you need
Built in holster only takes single stack type pistols

    Overall though, I'd recommend it.

m9 is a double stacker, but it is slim enough frame alright.
