Revenue Commissioners/Summer Jobs

    Hey all,

Does anyone know whether Revenue have advertised for Summer positions yet?

I have an undergrad Business degree (finance) from TCD and I am currently doing a Masters. I am looking for an office based job for the summer, preferably in Dublin city centre/commuting distance from Maynooth. Any ideas?

I submitted my CV to AIB back in early Feb, while BOI got back to me to say that they were unlikely to take on many Summer positions this year.

    Cheers.

I remember I applied for a summer position in the Revenue office in Limerick a few years back. Was just chancing my arm really and sent in an informal application. They sent me back a standardised response letter a couple of weeks later saying they had scanned my qualifications and work experience and I was ranked 1318th for the position I had applied for!

I actually got that letter framed and I put it on my work desk for motivation!

Those positions were advertised on their website last month. As far as I remember the closing date was the end of February.

The application closed last Monday, the 3rd, I'm afraid mate!!

I reckon banks will be trying to keep their costs as low as possible this year so I don't see them taking on many staff. I'm in the same position as you, I got my application to revenue on the last day tho. Have you tried out accounting firms??

The big four accounting companies have closed and filled most if not all their graduate position. Perhaps the smaller ones would have places though.
