Worked out the day before yesterday - Extreme stretching required

I'm only into the proper swing of things now for the last 2 months or so.

I work out every 4th day or so at the moment as I am doing HIT (mentzer)

Yesterday I felt fine and had given my muscles a good workout on Wednesday. Today I am constantly having to stretch as my muscles are constantly uncomfortable. It will be like that tomorrow now aswell and Sunday until I do another workout.

It’s like growing pains or something. Is this just my bodies response to the training at the moment and will it stop?

Stretching will actually make the pain last longer and get worse as you're re damaging the muscles you've already damaged training. What you need to do now is rest.

Are you seriously doing mentzers HIT? Or are you taking the piss?

Yes I am doing HIT. Believe me....I have to stretch.

Why do my muscles need to stretch so much if I am tearing the crap out them. Could it be that I am not working out all the fibers in the muscle?

And I'm saying that stretching will give immediate relief at the expense of taking longer to recover.

Mentzers HIT is a joke btw save yourself the time and do a decent program
