Cheers Ollie, do you play ipoker, is that a regular trny, some very week players and a tasty prizepool, bit of a crapshoot if you dont get a big stack though (10 min blinds).

dont really bother with Ipoker to much, its very weak but you have to win so many races and its very hard to get people of any hands. I rather stars, but the standard on Ipoker is great if you have the patients, I dont at the moment.

    wp again.

Took this down on Friday for 8.5k :)
ipoker structures are deplorable. I was heads-up with a guy at 25k/50k(last level) blinds and we both had stacks of over 2 mil in chips.
They really need to sort this out. Any reason for it stopping here at this level?

Maybe, its just that I've never experienced that at HU in a tourny, where the blinds have stopped increasing.

Anyhow quick Q Olly, what trnies would you recommend on Stars with a 3k BR. preferably after 6pm.

The medium buy-ins, the best been at 8pm for 50k, which is usually about 75k and they have a rebuy at 8:15 for 50 also. At 10 pm they have another 50 for 25k, which again usually as over 40k in the prize pool. They also have a rebuy at 10:15 for 50. These 4 games are the best value on stars for medium stake players and might I add, the network never goes down..lol

Cool cheers, what should your bankroll be minimum to play the 100+r.
Also, how do you play the 50+r, how many rebuys would you spend? Do you add-on str8 up?

    Ipoker is a joke.

    Ipoker is a joke.

Bankroll for the 100r is dependant on the player, I would rather have a bankroll of 10 to 20k for it. That might seem high, but I've written off a 25k bankroll on them very quickly so it can be very expensive if you run bad, also the standard of play is very high. I might add, I've never won the 100r, but loads of final tables and been dogged by Annette15...lol or Sorel.

I find in the rebuys playing tight is fine and pushing and calling with many pairs. You can easily get a triple up as the standard during rebuy is very aggressive, some people will spend up to 1k on the table, so if you play tight, it can be hard to get action in early position, but in late position its usually a case of calling a raise or allin.

So I tend to top up immediately, and if I busto once, depending on the table and action involved I'll rebuy twice, otherwise its just wait for the top up at the break, so my usual spend is 150 on 50r and 300 on 100r.

You should take a look at FTP and Mansion, I think Mansion have improved a lot for tournies.
