    Go Easy :)

I'm using a D40 with standard lens, will be getting the 18-200mmVR soon.
Used Tripod/Remote, for a few of them.
I hope 4 photos isn't too much in one post :o
Oh and I know you guys are probably sick of the Botanic Gardens but I live a minute away so its easy for me....

A cropped shot of the trees into the sun in B&W

I just liked the colour of the rocks at the bottom, I tried to make the water look more like cotton wool but it took away from the colour

I like the way he's posing, though its a bit blurry

And I really liked the colour of this plant, and was experimenting with DOF.

Nice shots, to make the water appear smooth make sure the shutter speed is long eg 1 second or longer..Keep it up :)

They're a little shy on contrast maybe but you've got some nice shots there.
The squirrel's face looks sharp to me and he's got a cute cheeky look!

Good attemps for a noob. The trees have a line that draws you to the center of the image, squirrel shot is quite good and would've been better if you managed to get his whole body in the shot.

Good work, I'm hardly an expert though. :) Maybe the last one a bit brighter but as you said you were experimenting. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.

1: Doesn't really do anything for me at all.
2: When framing, leave out the first third of the image, and increase the shutter speed. Use a tripod and experiment. :)
3: Nice shot - head is in focus, grand, might have liked to have zoomed out and got the entire body in the shot.
4: Nothing much to say - interesting flower - nothing wrong. :)
