    Trying to book a sun holiday for myself and Mr. D'arcy, mid June, want to spend €400-€500 each so not really a lot to play with. We're both early 20's. I want to go somewhere that there'll be stuff to do but not total party resort or full of lager louts, have been looking at Zakynthos, maybe tsvili (saw good reports on boards) but then saw a great htoel deal in Salou. Can't decide between the two of them....would like to see Barcelona but Salou as a resort gets bad enough reports....any help or advice would be appreciated.

    hi there,
    i have been to both & definetely reccomend zakynthos, really nice island. We stayd in laganas. Had great restaurants which were cheap etc. I would say tsvili is really nice & peaceful. Laganas is the main resort so was a bit tacky but still not half as bad as salou.
    Salou is your typical costa del sol place, all high rise etc.. Couldnt even find decent restaurants. Barcelona is nice but if you want to see it, just stay there as they have a beach in city so you could probably get the best of beach & city.

    Thanks for reply. Having done a little bit of research into Salou decided it's definitely not what I'm after. Now trying to decide between Kalamaki and Tsilivi in Zakynthos....anyone know which would be nicer?
