240 volt

    Hello again

Having done a basic check of my electrics, and having read some of the postings already on here, I have discovered where my initial problem lies (I think - I will do a little more investigating tomorrow).
First - fitted into the back of my newly acquired treasure, is a normal 12 volt starter battery. As far as I can tell, it is just wired straight onto the van's battery. NO RELAY - so (as I have read), spare battery empty, turn motor over, van battery dumps (it is recharging as I write this - will disconnect the spare before I try starting the van again).

    Next problem.
    Are you ready guys?
There is no socket for plugging into campsite supply sources (240 volt) and it is something I would like to do.
    BUT
    How?
    What do I need???
A battery charger? A relay? An inverter thingy?

You can tell that I am REALLY new at this, can't you?:D:D
