I've had a digitech whammy for the past few years and its worked perfectly but recently it seems to cut in and out when i'm playing or all of the leds power on on the pedal but no sound comes out at all. I think it might be the power jack is screwed but I want to know hat all of you think before I start butcherin it open

I'd say the input or output jacks could be going, if it stays powered on then the supply is not the problem.
It could be cables, have you tried it with a different cable and a different guitar just to rule out those as factors?

I've tried different cables and different guitars, the whammy works for a while but then all of the leds turn on and the sound stops. I asked around on other forums and they said this is a common problem with whammy pedals where a pin from the power supply comes loose and the wet output dosen't work but all of the leds stay on as they're powered by a seperate power rail on the whammy. Just need to find a site that shows me how to open the thing now, took off every bolt I can find and it still won't open
