Just watching a blue ray version of Predator and it got me thinking what would be the best AEG to have and I thought of the AEG that billy had in it

Edit: Actually, funnily enough, I'm half assedly making a masterkey, ordered some mounts recently and just shortened my shotty today.

In fairness it wont be very useful, just a tester, but is a good indication if a gas 8mm acm shotty could be mounted.

Recon company have a M82 which is basically the same thing.

I would have said rpk, only I have one on the way, so I felt I may be biased

Personally, my dream aeg changes with the wind, how many people also have a brief crush with a gun, then it goes away?

I always do, I used to want a desert eagle, now I dont, a usp, now I dont, masterkey, now I dont really, rpk and ak74 at the moment, so I'm buying em quick before the magic dies...

There is an airsoft verison of this out there. There was a limited run of them made a while back. I'd also love the Mk19 as an airsoft version too. That would be properly scary.



While not quite an aeg, I would dearly love some good, operable and reliable landmines and some useful (and more importantly, legal) grenades.

My dream AEG is not a specific replica, it's [whatever AEG by whomever] with:
_ inner barrel can be replaced with simple twist'n'click (with minimal FPS loss due to piston/chamber remaining same... somehow), to go from CQB to snipe in seconds
_ spring is likewise as easy to change as on the M249 (to change between MS90 for CQB / MS100 for field skirmish)
_ outer is likewise modular with simple twist'n'click, stock/no stock, iron sights on/off, etc.
_ magwell is standard STANAG but AEG comes with MP5 / AK magwell adapters
_ full-metal-shimmed-bushing'd GB good to go for 20000+ shots on LiPo, without having to give a look in

Basically, a "transformer AEG" that goes from a MAC10 to a PSG1 via a Shrike or M60 in seconds or minutes at most...

...don't want much, I know

i do not count the trapper industry's pkm, i don;t like it and to me its a bad custom for the money, my dream is to get hold of a deactivated one and convert it into an aeg as someone did over at red alliance.

I think I saw that one, it had a star m249 box in the receiver.

How do you plan on doing the rpk receiver Puding?

Its just I have little experience of metal work (none) and I dont now what tools I should get.

I'm not very good on the metal work myself, that why I'm starting with a cheap acm body to practice and learn on, i plan to many use model making techniques at first as i have experience with this field.

Going to flatten out the sides with filler and the sand and polish this down to flat then build it back up again with the correct details using plastic card and other materials.

If this test works out ok i will move onto the src rpk correct the errors and use Guinness weathering guide over at arnies to make it look good.

I'm going to try to replicate the guide I linked to, with sliver of aluminium, how do you plan to paint it and using what techniques, paint etc.

I have not done a decent paint job yet.

Edit: I think building our dream aegs is on topic! Correct me if i'm wrong.

i agree , although we might both need to make a project thread :P, i will finish it with painting techniques used in model making, its will not be the correct weight and the weathering and aging will be fake just paint techniques but for me it is convenient as i have access to all these materials right know and i can do it all at home.
