    Hi All,
I am a mum (34) who gave up a sucessfull career 5 years ago to have my kids.
I am now looking to get back out there part time. I had an interview for a position that i am very interested but am so long out of touch - not sure what to ask as an hourly rate. The position is for Admin assistant role which I have years of expperience in so I do not want to undersell myself. On the other hand I do not want to blow my chances by asking for too much... I also need to cover childcare/childminder costs.
    Please help :-)

Depending on the level of responsibility anywhere between 10-15euro per hour is about fair for Admin Assistant. Look at job websites or FAS website and see what is typical for your area. If you see a job you really like you could consider offering to work slighty above minimum wage for a couple of months with a view to them giving you a raise after this time.

With regards to childcare - it may be your highest priority but really your potential employers are unlikely to take this into consideration. You could have a look at some statutory bodies, universities or community voluntary sector workplaces which may have childcare provision on their premises. Good luck.

TBH...€15 P/H maybe pushing a tad too far. My guess would be in the 10-12 bracket.
