A lot of friends and people I know work in FBD. They all love it. Money is good, great place to work and good fun. You have 3 to 6 months training when you start which is a small but tough but worth it.

I have heard nothing but good stories about working there.

what youve heard about FBD may be true, their training shows when it comes to settling claims especially the Mullingar branch. the damage to my house cost me 4800euro and they sent me a cheque for 400euro saying the damage to the roof was wear and tear( the house is only 16yrs old) so the training may be good for FBD but not for their policy holders. BE WARNED.

I went for an interview here a few years ago. I had a number of years customer service/sales experience with well known companies in Dublin.
They wanted some one to work weekends to have time off during the week ( cheap). The lady who interview me just read the how to interview people book just before meeting me. She was the worst person I ever had interview me.
She wanted to know my salary and keep asking the question - when I told her she said we won't pay that.
Due to her rudeness I said what do you pay - no answer - I said you must have a salary scale for this position like all jobs have.
I had a senior position in Dublin.
I was willing to take a drop in my salary and move to Mullingar but I never heard from them.
I would not advise anyone to go near them due to the rude lady I met.

    Fbd are a broker.

Your policy is with an insurance company through Fbd.

The insurance companies claims assessors would have made the decision on your claim. Not fbd.

I suggest you make an official complaint. If you are not happy you can take it to the ombudsman.

This is an old thread, and I can't see any reason for it being dragged up.

Zulukev, if you have an issue to take up with them, please follow the approach suggested above - and if you want to discuss it, find a more appropriate forum than this.

    Closing.
