i really enjoyed wrong turn...i thought dead end was pretty tripe...the descent was nice and claustraphobic<--sp? Wolf creek was also pretty freaky!!

Of course, first of all, there is Wrong Turn 2, and The Hills have Eyes 2, neither of which I thought particularly good, but WT2 has met with a lot of praise.

I thought Wolf Creek was appallingly bad, but I seem to be in the minority on that one.

It's a fairly vague question, as all three movies aren't that similar, unless the common theme you're looking for is simply non-human adversaries....:p

Liked the remake of this also. And Creep, that was a good movie.

Stay the f uck away from Switchblade Romance.
    Awful.

The sequel to Wrong Turn is f ucking awesome.
One of the best examples of the "Redneck Psychopath" genre.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations, some good ones there which I will check out. I have seen creep before - what a film! The scene with the
trying to put the surgical gloves on and the abortion
    was pretty horrifying alright!

Calvaire (The Ordeal) is excellent. One of my favourite films of the last few years and one of the best 'scary locals' type of films around.

Oh I saw Lake Dead recently, AVOID.

I think the OP means the redneck cannabalistic genre, a lot of recommendations here certainly do not fall into that category - Switchblade Romance and 30 days of night for example.

Timber Falls is OK but I'm not sure if it falls intot the category either.

I think both Texas Chainsaw... remakes were awesome but that was probably just me.
