I'm waiting to see what the best odds for Galway are against Bohs. 5/2 around at the moment. That would be a bet i'd consider. Hopefully can get bigger as gameday approaches.

In most leagues Match Day 1 is always full of draws... I would be supprised to see 3 draws out of 6 games

Think I'll go for Sporting Fingal at a tasty 9/5. The prices on the Shels game look right to me, though was hoping for a tad more on Shels tbh. So my first bet on the eL season will be on Sporting winning their first ever game. Although both Longford and Sporting have assembled completely new squads, I think the away side will edge this one out 2-1. They have more experienced players and should get past the home side who will see this season as a period of transition.

got Cork to beat Bray 8/13 on Betdaq.

    Odds on but terrific value.

always hate to see an english prem thread on top of an eircom league one. 'tis our own like!

    made my bets for tonight

    1 Cork v Bray (Backing Cork @ 1.44)
2 St Patricks v Sligo Rovers (Backing St Patricks @ 1.58)
    3 Swansea v Millwall (Backing Swansea @ 1.49)
4 Finn Harps v Cobh Ramblers (Backing Finn Harps @ 2.12)
    5 Standard v Sint Truiden (Backing Standard @ 1.25)

    thats 8.99 on betfair.

also took four of the EL games to be a draw tonight (left out cork v bray cos i can't see anything but a home win).

split it into doubles, trebles and one on the lot. odds on the four draws are 111.59 but even if there's two it's a break even bet. given that there normally is to on an openning weekend i think it's worth a small punt.
