    HI
I live in the Lucan area in Dublin. I have just purchased a sewing machine and I was wondering if anyone knew of any classes in the area. I would just need a few to get me started.
    Thanks in advance:p

The only classes i'm aware of are the ones in Grafton Academy, just off Baggott Street. But there must be other classes in the city. Maybe some other posters can help.

    check out these guys
    http://www.threadbanger.com/
they do vlogs on sewing and crafts. last week they had one on how to read patterns and i seem to remember there being one on the basics of sewing with a machine. the forums are also supposed to be good for tips, tricks and links to helpfull sites. sometimes they can be a bit annoying and patronising but you get the odd gem of info too.
i regularly go to that site, and these too.

    Brilliant links!

I'm a novice and won't be doing my advanced class until September so this will give me a fix between now and then.
