Seems interesting...... but I'd be interested to know about his qualifications ( how long he has been working on guitars ect) rather than his zodiac sign and the televisions in his house !

at first i thought it was just music-maker making like a transformer, but it actually seems to be a new...something!???
is it actually a shop that you can go in?
    I need to know!!

Hmm... its next door to perfect pitch. I'll check it out on my way home in about 15 minutes. :p I'll post about my findings in a few hours. :)

EDIT: I'm getting old and read the number wrong. It's not next to Perfect Pitch. I'll walk by and have a gander anyways. ;)

Walked by there earlier, it's upstairs on the 2nd floor above Sabotage. It's not a walk-in type jobbo. Basically its a office that the chap has rented in the building. Name and mobile number on the mailbox inside the doorway. If you look up you can see some guitars thru the window, a good few hollowbodys. Couldn't really make out what they were.

hmmm, kinda let down thats it not a vintage & rare type shop
still though,i'd be happy if he's a good reasonably priced tech!

Well, for one Vintage & Rare is a pretty expensive store. I wasn't too mad on the atmosphere in there when I was there also.

As for being reasonably priced, we've yet to find that out. Also, one thing that would bother me... Is this guy any good?!! An inexperienced person could cause more damage than good to an instrument they attempt to repair.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone gotten any work done by this guy? Any good?

I need something small done to one of my basses and don't want to have to go all the way out to Marlay Park.

He worked at Musician Inc. for a number of years. I am due to get him to install a Bigsby sometime soon (when I manage to make it into town with the guitar).

I was in there one evening and he received a call out from The Republic of Loose to sort out a guitar before a gig.

I talked with him a bit, he seems to know his stuff alright.

He gave my guitar a good setup and fixed a few uneven frets, lowered the action etc for €50 about a month ago, nice guy too.

went into him with a pickup problem a few days ago and he told me how to fix it and he was spot on!

its a little door, very hard to spot on the opposite side to music maker down towards waltons a bit!

    Sorry i forgot to update!
sound out,he put the bareknuckle pickup's Emeralds in my SG and set up the new tone-pros bridge
it's playing and sounding better than ever now and he only charged me €80

anyways this seems like a grand excuse to post the after pic again! :D

It's above buffalo shoes, which isn't as hard to spot! it's a door in a little alcove type thing, there's usually a little sign outside.
