    Hi

I havent got all the paperwork yet but was told by the planning office that (They do the Test) my T Value was T = 2.5 and that this was a fail.

I thought you only failed if the Value was under 1 or over 50 can anyone clarify please.

    Thanks

a fail is between 5 and 50 (or even 60 in some cases)

a figure of 2.5 means the water dropped 100mm in less than 10 mins.
the quickest it can drop is 20 mins

    hi,
A proposed percolation area whose T value is less than 5 or greater than 60 has failed test. this is from SR6:1991.
If the T test fails it may still be possible to use a treatment system on site. Minimum site area will need to be 2000 sq metres / approx 1/2 acre.
Some counties eg. laois still do the perc tests themselves. they will not do a P test.
It will be necessary to get a site specific test done by the proprietary wastewater manufacturer prior to lodging an application.
