What's iPoker like

I'm a 1/2 cash gamer on Ladbrokes and I'm getting a bit sick of it. What's iPoker like? I think I might sign up for a Paddypower account. I'm not a multi-tabler, maybe 1 or 2 tables max.

if you were using ladbrokes poker for a while and have got used to the set up you will hate ipoker, i personally cant stand it as i play on boylepoker which is the same software as ladbroke poker, ipoker just seems so slow feels like your waiting for ages for someone to fold/make a move, a lot of heads in here are going to disagree with me but I just hate ipoker, the only plus which is a big is that the scheduled tournaments are very impressive.

Going on reports on other sites, you'll find yourself playing ~20% less hands on iPoker than you would on Ladbrokes but then again iPoker has more players on it's network with the standard generally considered to be worse than Ladbrokes (which from what I can remember is full of 3betting Scandies - even at the micro levels).

Personally, having played on many different skins, I've settled with iPoker for now but as Lloyd said, you'll have to play for yourself to decide.

I hated ipoker at the beginning, then I got used to the layout and now I love it - only problem I keep getting disconnected!!! Damn my 3g connection, but also the software (have same problem sometime with my girlfriend laptop). I cleared the bonus on PPP, Titan, now I am on Chilli...finished this I will go to Noble, etc..... until I finish them all

Ipoker is a nightmare.

In fairness, 3g internet connections are píss poor so most of the blame should be attributted to that. I only ever had disconnection problems when there was a problem with my wireless network tbh.

The software is awful though, a lot of improvements could be made to it (and I'd assume quite easily too).

If you're on eircom broadband you will not have any connection problems (personal experience). In regards to cash game play, the standard is generally regarded as softer than most sites. Software isn't a problem for me, although many don't like it.
Customer support is skin dependent, and ranges from excellent to poor.

Honest to god I would say this even if I didn't sell hand histories!
If you use PT & PAHUD, get your hands on a few hundred thousand hands and you will never have a problem knowing whats what at a table the minute you sit down. 1/2NL is the most highly datamined level so other people are certainly going to know who the fish are and aren't.

If you don't use PT or the likes I would not play there. I'd play somewhere that you can't use it, or else you are just going to be at a unnecessary disadvantage.

Network wise, it was unplayable for me using Irish broadband (wireless inet) due to disconnects. Its fine on ADSL.

Could anyone recommend a good non-ipoker site for playing SNGs and MTTs? The disconnection part of it is getting to me lately.

Pokerstars for quality tournaments/software, probably a tougher standard of player compared to other sites.
