Phone Call from India, 3 network

    My mobile is with 3, was a day late with my payment, got a barrage of calls from a call centre in India. You cannot insult these guys, after the 5th call I was pissed off. By this stage I had paid the bill, but the calls kept coming. Even if you tell them to **ck off, they apologise for you. they are so polite to the point of annoyance........weird

    I think, and I am not sure, but I think that because they are calling you as a creditor, under Irish law, i dont think they can call you more than twice in a day or it is technically harassment. I knew people who used to have to make those horrible calls and they told me something along these lines. Perhaps someone else can shed some light...

    I mean after the first call, I assume an international number came up, so I would have ignored it......or pulled the piss and replied with an Indian accent aka the guy from the Simpsons and tell them they have the wrong number. :)

    They dont ring from an international number as far as I recall from my dealings with them they ring from an unknown number.

    I have never told them to **** off though, usually they try and tell me they cant understand me:mad:

    When I bought my pc from Dell I had to talk to their call centre several times because it took ten weeks to be delivered.

    Have to agree with the op about the sheer frustration involved in trying to make yourself understood by people who can't understand you.

    Didn't curse at them though because it was obvious they wouldn't have understood that either.

    Sure NTL's reps were as bad about my broadband and they are based in Ireland. They just feigned an inability to communicate. Did a damned fine job of it too. Oscar worthy.

    I had this problem with NTL, trying to get me to upgrade etc. When a foreign accented lady phoned up from the same odd number and asked to speak with Mr Dyflin, I just said "sorry love, wrong number, nope, never heard of him". That was the last of that...
