First of all, it's not broadband. It's mobile internet. The advertised speed is the total within the cell and that's to be shared by all the users in the same cell. Your upstream with WSDPA, HSDPA and H2UPA will never exceed 384 kbit. CMDA2100/Turbo-3g is different there, but not offered in Ireland.

If you want internet on the go, it's definatly it. If you want broadband at home, i wouldn't recommend it, especially if you live in an Urban area.

This goes for all 3G based internet offerings.

With Vodafone specificly, I find that it's difficult during peek hours to get a connection in Urban areas. In rural areas there's never a connection problem, but there's still a huge area, where Vodafone only offers GPRS, not 3G.
