When are you part qualified

Can someone explain when you become part qualified in acca? I only ask as people I know are applying for part qualified jobs (and getting interviews) with only 2 fundamental papers done. Just in case anyone wasn't aware the papers changed last year, meaning that it is now broken down into fundamental papers (6) and professional papers (5).

The way I understood it is that all five fundamental papers would need to be completed before you could be classed as part qualified, or would it be dependant on the employer looking at your CV?

    Thanks

I always thought it was down to the employer. I got a part qualified job in Oct and they never asked what exams I had completed and what i'd left. I told them I was doing ACCA and I had a few done but they didn't ask for specifics.

    What Scoot says.

Years back when it was Module A thru F, ACCA said in the newsletter that their was no official term as part qualified, but they thought having finished module D and a year's experience would be roughly what they thought it would be. So, nothing definitive, but at least it's a guideline.

Module D would be roughly equal to 8 papers.

But, theoretically, having past one paper is part qualified. :D
