Price to fix car

Quoted the following repair work.

Wishbone cracked and needs to be replaced €200

Rollbar the same €200

The power steering control unit faulty and needs to be replaced. €700

00 Fabia 1.4 70,000

Not sure if that includes labour.

Its through a Skoda dealer.

Is that good, bad or worth it

Offer 2,000 for a trade in as car is without repair

go to any motor factor and you will get the suspension parts for quarter that price. then ring the nearest breakers yard and get the power steering control unit, probably cost 50euro. put them all in you boot and go to a small garage and get them fitted probably 2-3 hours labor. shouldn't cost ya more that 400.

whats wrong with the power steering control unit - not that i know what exactly it is:)

You could probably get the P/S unit reconditioned with warranty for less, at that.

It cutting off the power to the throttle.

Its the electric in it thats not allowing the power into the throttle.

This what appeared in the diagnostic machine (So I am told)

Does any of the above make any sense.

The power steering only happened recently and the broken wishbone and roll bar happened in an accident.
