I'm heading over to Perth for 3 weeks for Easter and Im just looking for a some recommendations on places to see/things to do/nice restaurants etc.

I was thinking of renting a car and going up north or down south to Margaret River but just wondering how many days I should allocate etc.

    Thanks!

I was over there after Xmas, didn't do much in the way of fancy resturants but if you get the chance try the revolving restaurant over looking the CBD and the swan river. Its a bit pricey but well worth a once off expense. Most of the attractions are in the guides so I'm not going to list them out here, two of our favourites would have been Fremantle prison and Sailing the hired catamarans on the Swan River (no experience required, chance your arm)

We hired from here and went both ways, if time is short, go south is my advise. There is much more to do and see down there, the caves, the forests, the wineries, the breweries , the surfing and beaches.
North towards the pinnacles and Kalbarri has much more driving and while its beautiful up there its harder work.

Some pics from our trip here

Enjoy your trip, its a fantastic place.

Here in Perth at the moment on holidays

With 3 weeks you should get everything done here been here since b4 xmas and still stretching it out :)

I would suggest 4 day trip north as far as Monkey Mia to see the Dolphins

Have just planned out a 5 day trip south from here camping but could eaily be hoteling

That leaves you loads of time for the perth atttraction such as The Mint Fremanle Rottnest Swan Valley cruise.

Feel free to PM me for more info

Monkey Mia is nice, but I would extend the northward trip and hit Coral Bay. Really nice up there too.

Hey I'm in the process of writing you a PM so hopefully that'll give you a bit of help.

And to the OP, feel free to PM me with any specific questions you have on Perth. I'll be happy to answer them.

EDIT: And anyone who goes to Perth HAS to go swimming with dolphins in Rockingham. I've done it twice and it's the coolest thing ever.

Yeah because the dolphins are wild you basically gotta go on a boat and search for them. It can take a good few hours because they don't just hang around the one spot. The last time I did it was amazing though. The dolphins came right up to our faces and basically wanted us to play with them. A great experience.

Not really. It was €185 for everything. That includes your transport to and from the city, 7 hours or so on the boat and lunch. ?The max on each tour is 40 and they go out every day for 9 months of the year. Here's their site -
