Getting out of contract

    I want to get out of my "3" contract, can i just pay off the last 3 months and take my number to another operater straight away??

    if it was another operator i'd recomend you just go into another shop and sign up because porting your number would be seen as cancelling your contract and they'd send you a bill for the last 3 months.

    but this is 3 and they're unpredictable. i'd recommend you call 3 to cancel your contract. they'll require you give 30 days notice. on the 28th or 29th day, go into a competitor's shop and port. don't wait until after the 30 days because your number will deactivate and can't be ported

    thanks for the reply sam, one other question i forgot to ask.....if i buy my way out of the contract early, are they still obliged to give me an unlocking code for my phone??

    yes but you have to pay €25. you'll have to pay that whether you end the contract early or not
