Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but I was out last night and I lost my phone. I called meteor and reported in lost.
turns out that I left it in the taxi and I got it back tonight (at like 2 minutes past 12) Grrr.
Since it is past meteor's operating time, I can't unlock it.
In fact i'm not even sure if its locked in the 1st place. It just wont pick up coverage at all.

Soo.. is there anyway possible at all that I can unlock the phone straight away?

not unless you have the right hardware/software - no

Does the phone say "SIM card blocked" or similar? If yes, lookup the PUK (unblocking code) which should have been supplied with the SIM card when you first got it, and use that.

Was the phone switched off when you left it in the taxi? If yes, there is a chance that someone tried three incorrect PINs and caused the SIM to be blocked.

If no, it would appear that Meteor got around to blocking service on your account, and you will have to ask them to reconnect it.

It seems strange that Meteor closes. I wouldn't use a phone company or ISP whose customer service wasn't open 24h/24.

I know a guy who works for a big operator and can look up phones and give you details on any new SIM card put in your phone. You could call the guy who stole your phone and ask how he's doing.

    Data privacy me arse!

The only way to get un-blacklisted is to call Meteor (or whoever the phone is registered with) and go through the whole process.

Once a phones IMEI is blacklisted with a carrier, it basically becomes a high-tech door-stop unless you contact them and have them correct this issue.
