Recording from NTL DVR to DVD

Does anybody know are there any problems recording from NTL DVR to an ordinary DVD? Apologies if this has been answered already - I HAVE searched but haven't found anything specific! Thanks very much for anything on this, Sebro

I have recorded from the DVR onto a Toshiba HDD/DVD recorder, stripped out the ads using the Tosh and copied what was left of the program onto DVD without any problems.
