O2 Voicemail Problems

Voicemail was working fine for a long time.

    1. Callers to my number are unable to leave messages. If I do not answer or am on a call they get disconnected. They are not prompted to leave a message. In fact, there is no message at all, just a disconnection.

    2. If I attempt to enable call divert on my phone via Settings > Call > Call Divert > Voice Calls > Divert If Busy/If Not Answered etc. I get the message "REQUEST NOT COMPLETED".

    3. When I call 1909 and am requested to enter my PIN I am told that the PIN is incorrect. I know for a fact that my PIN is correct as I enter it each morning when I switch on my phone.

I've sent them the above via the Help > Contact Us > Webform. Anyone any ideas while I'm waiting?

    Thanks.

when you change your pin, that information isn't transmitted to the o2 head office. the pin they have is not necessarily the same one you use.

call 1909 from a landline and keep pressing 8-># until it transfers you to an operator. ignore it telling you to enter your phone number and when it says "if you are an o2 customer press 1", don't press 1

When you try as you said here do you select to voice mail or other number?
    My guess is voice mail..

To correct.. enter hash hash 002 hash send. (to cancel all diverts ). then do the above select other number enter 00353865and your mobile number...make sure to enter the 5..thats it.. let me know how you get on..ps presume your a bill phone for above ;)as 02 prepay cant divert from the handset:mad:

Haven't had a chance to call O2 yet, it's someone's phone at work. I got him to do as you said Johnnie. This worked up to a point. Callers can leave messages now and he can listen to them, but there is no menu. When he rings 171 he gets a strange buzzing noise for a few seconds then straight through to the message, listens to the message, then buzzing noise again for a few second and then goes to the next message. No menu at all, no way to interact.

I'll be seeing him in the afternoon so I'll get him to try and get through to O2 as per Sam.

    Thanks.
